What Ollie Saw is a thought provoking book.
When I first saw the title, I immediately thought of the older book What Jamie Saw. I was hoping that it was nowhere near as heart wrenching!
Luckily, it was NOT!
This is a sweet book that teaches us all about perspective and individuality.
Ollie is different from everyone else in his family. They are all trying to convince him that something is wrong with him.
And of course, they all have an opinion about what he needs to do to fix himself.
I am sure there are a lot of children who can relate to that! And adults 🙋🏼♀️.
Whether or not you have students that may connect with Ollie, I highly recommend reading this book to them!
There will be great conversations about how we treat others, how we place our own expectations upon others, and how we can accept everyone for what they bring to the table.
