This no prep activity is great if you need something on the fly or if you need to whip up some sub plans.  I use these specifically as sub plans for substitute teachers. They work whether you have 20, 30 or 40+ minutes of library class. The sub will not run out of things to do with your class.

  • Standards Based Lesson that engages students in read aloud activities during Hispanic Heritage Month. This lesson works for all ages and grades! All you need to do is choose a picture book to read aloud, and print the recording sheets & bookmarks. Standards listed below. 
  • 3 Note Taking Sheets for you to choose from. They also let you differentiate for different grade levels. One sheet is great for PreK and Kindergarten. Another is perfect for grades 1-3. And yet another is great for grades 4 and 5.
  • 8 bookmarks that students can color. Each book is written in Spanish and English.
  • Over 15 suggested picture book titles to use for a read aloud. Each book is organized by grade level making it super easy for you to choose titles that best fit your needs!
