The concept of books as mirrors, windows, and sliding glass doors is a powerful idea to teach students. It brings a different level of comprehension and metacognition to reading and young readers.
It can be difficult keeping young children engaged. They have a need to get up and move and talk to others. In addition to that, today’s technology has trained their brains to work with small bites of information.
I am not an organized person by nature. It is something that I have had to, and continue to, work on. Because I hate feeling like a scattered brain hot mess!
One of the most fun things to do is to teach young children to care for school technology.
Play isn’t just for PreK. All grades benefit from the use of play to facilitate learning.
