When I heard about CLUBHOUSE, I literally rolled my eyes. And groaned, “not another social media platform.”
And then…
I received an invite.
Since I’ve joined Clubhouse, I have been hooked! I haven’t felt this valued and connected since I first joined Twitter back in 2010.
Before signing up, I was turned off by the ‘invite only’ aspect of the app. It felt exclusive.
Boy, was I wrong!
From the very first room I entered, it felt inclusive. It felt generous. Every room I’ve gone into, the moderators create an atmosphere of community. Everyone is there to learn and lift each other up.
Even when I go into room that are moderated by famous people.
Yup, the first time I went into one, I was totally nervous. Unsure I should go in.
But you know what? It was such an interesting and informative conversation!
I sat. I listened. I learned. I left that room with an entirely new perspective on art history. Something I never thought I’d even want to learn about.
Conversations like that. Make me a better mother, spouse, educator, and human being.
